The unemployment increased by 0.5 percent in Turkey in November 2013 compared to the same month of 2012 and amounted to 9.9 percent, a message posted on the website of Turkish Statistics Institute (TUİK) said on Feb.17.
The number of unemployed amounted to 2.784 million people in Turkey in November 2013.
The population of Turkey was 75,627,384 people as of December 2013.
Around 93 percent of Turkey's working-age population works in the private sector and seven percent in the public sector.
