Baku, Azerbaijan, April 4
By Abbas Akhundov - Trend:
The Azerbaijan Insurers Association will establish an educational center. The courses for insurance specialists will be held there, chairman of the association Orhan Bayramov told Trend on April 3.
The representatives of the association met with the leadership of the similar educational center in Turkey to learn the Turkish experience in this field, Bayramov added.
"The first courses may open in May and the beginning of the full activity of the center is scheduled for September 1, 2014. The center will begin its activity by holding the courses for insurance agents.
"This is very important because the agents act as mediators among insurance companies and the public," he said. "The image of the insurance sphere largely depends on the quality of their services."
"There will be the courses for underwriters, actuaries , claim settlement specialists in the center in the future," he said.
The heads and specialists of the insurance companies will conduct these courses. The association plans to regularly invite foreign specialists.
"The main goal is for the participants to get practical knowledge from the persons directly involved in the insurance business," he said.
