The departmental legal regulations reducing complication of entrepreneurial activity in Uzbekistan may enter into force not earlier than three months from the date of their official publication.

This provision will enter into force in the country from June 1, 2014. It was approved by Uzbek Justice Minister's order as a supplement to the existing rules of the preparation and adoption of the departmental legal acts in accordance with the presidential decree on 'Additional measures on further improving the investment climate and business environment in the Republic of Uzbekistan' as of April 2014.

The three-month grace period for entry into force is introduced in Uzbekistan for departmental acts involving imposing new legal obligations on business entities and establishing new legal liability measures for entrepreneurs.

It is also prohibited to use penalties towards entrepreneurs for violation of departmental legal acts regulating the relations with business entities, not published on the official websites of state agencies.
