Azerbaijani Airlines (AZAL) CJSC will receive the first Boeing-787 Dreamliner jet airliner November 28, spokesman for AZAL Maharram Safarli told Trend on Nov. 25.
AZAL ordered two Boeing-787 Dreamliner jet airliners.
He said that Azerbaijan will receive the second Boeing-787 Dreamliner jet airliner in early 2015.
"It is possible that the second aircraft will be received in December, but more likely this will happen in early 2015," Safarli said.
Earlier, another source at AZAL said that the company at the time was considering the possibility of refusing to purchase Boeing-787 Dreamliner airliners due to the problems that some countries' companies faced after receiving these airliners.
However, AZAL confirmed its intention to receive these airliners.
Currently, AZAL's fleet consists of the following airliners: Boeing 757-200, Boeing 767-300, Airbus 319, Airbus A320, Airbus A340-500, Embraer ERJ 170-100LR and Embraer ERJ 190-100.
