Housing fund slightly increases in Azerbaijan in November

The construction work increased by 2.3 percent and hit 7.386 billion AZN in Azerbaijan in January-November 2014, according to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.

Some 63.7 percent of the total volume of construction work accounted for primary construction, reconstruction and expansion, 16.9 percent - overhaul, 6 percent - current repair and 13.4 percent - other construction work.

In November, the volume of housing commissioning increased by 2.9 percent compared to October 2014, but by 7.5 percent compared to October 2013.

According to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee, around 161,200 square meters of housing were commissioned in November compared to 156,500 square meters in October.

Around 1.806 million square meters of housing were commissioned in early 2014 or by 3.6 percent less than in 2013.

As of 11 months of 2014, around 99,200 were involved in the construction sector. The nominal wage in the construction sector amounted to 626.1 AZN, which is 0.5 percent more than in the same period of last year. The average salary in the public sector amounted to 518.3 AZN (3.5 percent growth during a year), in the private sector - 673 AZN (one percent decrease).

The wages in the sphere of building construction decreased by 2.5 percent - on average of 554.1 AZN. The specialized construction increased by 22.5 percent - up to 926.7 AZN.

The wages decreased by 17.5 percent - up to 501.4 AZN in the civil construction in January-November 2014.
