SOCAR may expand CNG filling stations network in Turkey

SOCAR Turkey Enerji company (Turkish subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, SOCAR) plans to expand the network of CNG (compressed natural gas) filling stations in Turkey, Director General of SOCAR Turkey Petrol Enerji Dağıtım AŞ, Mutluay Dogan, said, the Turkish IHA news agency reported.

He said that the network of CNG filling stations will be expanded in such Turkish cities as Istanbul, Gebze, Ankara, Mersin, Bursa, Izmir during 2016.

The activity of SOCAR on the sale of CNG in Turkey is licensed by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) of Turkey. Earlier, it was reported that the licenses for the sale of compressed natural gas (CNG) by Socar Turkey LNG Satıs AS in two Turkish points of sale in the cities of Gemlik and Eskisehir will be restored.

Currently, SOCAR is engaged in the retail sale of oil products through its filling stations in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Romania and Switzerland as well.
