Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will visit Sweden on June 1, the Swedish Ambassador to Tehran Peter Tejler said in a tweet on May 27.
He said Zarif will lead an economic delegation during his trip to Sweden.
Earlier, the Iranian Foreign Ministry's Spokesman Hossein Jaberi Ansari said at a press conference in Tehran on May 23 that Zarif will start his five-day tour to Europe, and will visit Sweden, Poland, Latvia and Finland.
After removal of the sanctions on Iran in mid-January, Tehran started to boost relations with the EU.
Iran's President Hassan Rouhani traveled to France and Italy in late January and signed tens of memorandums of understanding, while several top European officials visited Iran during the post-sanctions era.
