Revenues of Uztelecom JSC, Uzbekistan’s largest telecommunication operator, totaled 32.625 billion Uzbek soums ($1=2953.84 soums on July 15) in 2015, or 17.8 percent less than in 2014, said the company’s report.
Gross profit from sales decreased by 6.1 percent to 321.868 billion soums, the operating profit increased by 2.5 times to 137.194 billion soums, the profit before tax decreased by 21.87 percent to 39.377 billion soums.
The company’s losses from foreign exchange rate differences increased by twofold to 95.129 billion soums.
Uztelecom does not comment on its financial performance.
Uztelecom JSC, a 98-percent stake of which is owned by the state, provides local, long distance, international voice telephony, data networking and other services.
