The representatives of the eight leading South Korean pharmaceutical companies will discuss in Baku the possibility of entering the Azerbaijani market.
The Azerbaijani and South Korean entrepreneurs operating in pharmaceutics will meet in Baku July 18, the Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) under the South Korean Embassy in Azerbaijan told Trend July 12.
Among the South Korean companies specializing in pharmaceutics are Intraros, Keum Cheong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, KKC Corporation (Ilyang Pharm), Tai Guk Pharm Co.,Ltd., Dai Han Pharm Co., Ltd., BC World Pharm Co., Ltd, Huons Global Co Ltd., Aju Pharm Co Ltd.
According to the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and South Korea amounted to about $23.7 million in January-June 2017, which is by $16.6 million or 41.2 percent less than in January-June 2016.
The Pirallahi Industrial Park, specializing in the production of pharmaceutical products, was established in Azerbaijan in September 2016.
