A new logistics center and a railway station will be built in the Turkish province of Konya

A new logistics center and a railway station will be built in the Turkish province of Konya, Turkey’s Ministry of Transportation, Maritime and Communications told Trend Aug. 18.

According to the ministry, the groundbreaking ceremony of the new logistics center and the railway station will take place on August 19.

The area of ​​the logistics center will be one million square meters.

The cost of the project wasn’t disclosed by the ministry.

It should be noted that, another logistics center is also being built in the Kars province in eastern Turkey.

Agreement on creation of the logistics center was signed on July 19, 2017, during the visit, associated with familiarization of the progress in the BTK project, of the Head of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Javid Gurbanov to the Kars Province.

The logistics center that is being built in Kars, as part of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway project, will be commissioned in October of 2018.
