S. Korea aims to boost economic partnership with Turkmenistan

South Korean President Moon Jae-in announced his intention to strengthen partnership with Turkmenistan by increasing trade and investment, as well as diversifying the spheres of economic cooperation, said an article in the online newspaper of the country’s Oil and Gas Complex.

The article was quoting the letter of the South Korean president to Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Complementarity of the two countries’ industry stipulates development of economic cooperation in the gas and chemical industry and construction of the relevant industry facilities, said the letter.

Moon Jae-in expressed hope that South Korean companies will be able to use their potential to participate in new projects for the construction of big complexes in Turkmenistan, thus contributing to the expansion of business relations between the two countries.

Moon Jae-in in his letter highly appreciated the capabilities of Eurasian countries, in particular Turkmenistan, in cooperation on the resource development, in the sphere of transport and formation of logistics infrastructure, as well as other areas.
