In Uzbekistan, food supply to the units of the Defense Ministry will be outsourced.
Under the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers "On measures to radically improve the quality of food for servicemen in the troops of the Defense Ministry of Uzbekistan", the country will attract public catering enterprises on contractual basis.
The document notes that when determining outsourcers, preference will be given to enterprises that have significant experience in the field of public catering and are ready to proactively improve the condition of canteens. The availability of appropriate financial, logistical and logistic base will also be taken into account.
The fee for the services of outsourcers will be established by the Defense Ministry on the basis of the standard of food per serviceman at the average market prices for food. The maximum level of these prices will be submitted by the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city authority.
Control over compliance with the requirements for quality, food pricing is entrusted to the authorities of the regions and the capital. Also authorities will assist outsourcers in purchasing food products under direct contracts directly from farms.
The order will be developed and approved before April 1,2018.
