Turkey has amended the rules for carrying out tenders, says a message posted on the website of the Turkish official newspaper Resmi Gazete.
According to the message, legal entities and companies that intend to participate in tenders will have to submit a document confirming that they do not have tax debts to the state.
According to the message, new changes in the rules for carrying out tenders will come into force on March 1, 2018.
In 2017, 37,041 tenders were held in Ankara. Of this, 21,503 tenders were for procurement of goods, 12,697 tenders – in the services sector, 2,707 tenders – in construction sector, and 134 tenders – for consulting services.
In 2017, 26,170 tenders were held in Istanbul, and 15,015 of these were for procurement of goods, 9,062 tenders – in the services sector, 2,015 tenders – in construction sector, and 78 tenders – for consulting services.
