Kyrgyzstan may legislatively oblige large markets to grant sale of local production, General Director of Kyrgyz Ecoproduct Asia Ltd. Dastan Omuraliyev said on March 19.

The proposal was put forward during the meeting of the Commerce and Industry Chamber (CCI) of Kyrgyzstan.

Omuraliyev reminded that Kazakhstan has a law obliging large markets to have at least 30 percent of the local production.

“At the same time, the goods have to comply with all requirements of Kyrgyzstan and Eurasian Economic Union,” he added.

He also noted that Kyrgyzstan has to create a register of fair suppliers.

“We often face problems. If we had the register, we could have a better guidance. When we work with foreign partners, for example, we always send an inquiry to the CCI,” Omuraliyev added.
