Azerbaijan and the EU have completed the Technical Assistance Project for the implementation of the Support to Rural and Regional Development (SRRD) in Azerbaijan, EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan Kestutis Jankauskas said at an event dedicated to the completion of the project.
The project covered 2016-2018, and its goal is to use the European experience in the development of the Azerbaijani districts, he added.
The program will contribute to the introduction of the European experience in the development of the Azerbaijani districts, he noted.
The EU has extensive experience in using financial resources, there is a list of measures that allows concentrating on the least developed districts, Jankauskas said.
The EU intends to introduce this experience in Azerbaijan, he noted.
This expericne was applied in the Aran economic region as part of the already completed project, he said.
The EU hopes that it will be introduced in other districts of Azerbaijan, he added.
