In January-June 2018, the overall production volumes of clothing in Azerbaijan totaled 27.43 million manats, which is 10.3 percent more than in the same period of 2017, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee's report said.
According to the report, the production volume of leather goods and footwear also increased by 56.9 percent up to 11.4 million manats for the year.
Products of the spinning industry, footwear, clothing and leather products worth 188 million manats (76.9 percent growth for the year) were produced for six months of this year.

The retail turnover of the products of the spinning industry, clothing and footwear amounted to almost 3.1 billion manats during the reporting period, increasing by 3.1 percent for the year. Consumers spend about 18 percent of their funds for clothing and footwear in shopping malls.
The prices for clothing and fabrics remained unchanged, prices for shoes increased by 0.1 percent in June compared to May. For the year, the prices for these products increased by 2.9 percent, 6.1 percent and 1.9 percent respectively.
