Dirk Jan Kop, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Netherlands to Kazakhstan, visited three enterprises of agro-industrial complex in Kazakhstan’s Aktobe region where Dutch equipment and technologies are used, Kazakh media reported.
In particular, he visited the Ice dairy farm, Greenhouse Kazakhstan complex and Green Capital Kazakhstan complex, which is under construction.
The ambassador noted that cooperation between the Netherlands and Kazakhstan is strengthening every year, especially in the field of agriculture.
"The Netherlands is one of the major investors in Kazakhstan. We are interested in cooperation in agriculture and want to introduce modern technologies in this sector. This is important for both countries," the diplomat said.
He noted that the Ice dairy farm works on Dutch technology. Now there are 3,000 cows, and in the future it is planned to increase the number to 9,000. Thus, the company will become the largest enterprise of the dairy industry in Kazakhstan.
"We would like to expand our cooperation in the Aktobe region in this direction," the ambassador said.
He also noted that the application of Dutch technologies in water management is relevant in the region.
