Investments in Kazakhstan's Kostanay region increase by over 10%

Kazakhstan’s Kostanay region actively attracts investments — 166.1 billion tenge have already been invested in the economy of the region, which is a growth of 10.6 percent, the governor Archimed Mukhambetov said, according to the press service of the region’s administration.

"The volume of the attracted foreign investments is by 1.8 times more than in the same period last year," he noted.

The governor added that the development of Kostanay’s economy is due to the implementation of 40 projects worth 2.2 trillion tenge, including 13 projects with foreign participation worth 1.4 trillion tenge.

The projects will be mainly implemented in the industrial zone of Kostanay.

"It is planned to deploy 11 projects worth 1.2 trillion tenge on its territory with the creation of more than 2,000 jobs," Mukhambetov said.

The governor also reminded that the Kostanay Invest forum is held in the region for the second year in a row, which reveals the investment opportunities and export potential of the region.

This year, the forum was attended by representatives of 9 countries, and 19 memorandums of cooperation worth more than 251 billion tenge were signed there.
