According to the results of January-September 2018, a total of 7,002,320 Iranian vessels have sailed through the territorial waters of Turkey, Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on Nov. 26.
"During the reported period of 2018, 1,266,044 Iranian vessels sailed flying the Turkish flag, 88,777 vessels sailed flying the Iranian flag and 5,647,499 vessels sailed flying the flags of other countries," the ministry said.
In the first nine months of 2018, 248,945,205 vessels sailed in the territorial waters of Turkey, 27,391,146 of which sailed flying the Turkish flag, 10,465,714 flying their own flag, and 211,088,345 flying flags of other countries.
Last year, 12,358,515 Iranian vessels sailed through the territorial waters of Turkey, 618,117 of which sailed flying the Turkish flag, 11,170,275 vessels flying flags of other countries, and 570,123 vessels flying the Iranian flag.
In 2017, a total of 347,348,092 vessels sailed through the Turkish territorial waters, 36,815,820 of which sailed flying the Turkish flag, 14,812,063 flying the flag of their country, and 295,720,209 vessels sailed flying flags of other countries .
