The car prices increased by 6-7 percent in Baku in 2018, Chairman of the Azerbaijani Property Market Participants Public Association Elnur Asadov told Trend on Jan. 16.
"Car prices increased in the secondary market in 2018 due to the difficulties with import of old cars to Azerbaijan," he said.
Asadov also stressed that car prices are expected to increase by about 3-4 percent in 2019.
As for the popularity of cars, he said that the cars of Japanese and German manufacturers are in great demand in Azerbaijan.
"Chinese car manufacturers are actively entering the Azerbaijani market,” he said, adding that low prices also play an important role. “If we take into account that these cars are bought by the companies, there is sufficient demand for them in Azerbaijan."
