Gonbad-e Kavus makes up 57% of exports of Iran's Golestan Province

Gonbad-e Kavus County of Iran’s north-eastern Golestan Province makes up 57 percent of the provincial exports, said Khalil Rajablou, director of the Industry, Mining and Trade Department of Gonbad-e Kavus County of Golestan Province, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

Rajablou stated that there are at present 1,600 people employed in 94 industrial enterprises of the county, adding that there are also 11 mines in operation.

"Polyester, particle boards, animal feed and feed for sea creatures, potassium and calcium, laboratory materials, various industrial and construction paints, and other products manufactured in our province are exported to foreign countries," he said.

By the end of the 10th month of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), 295,000 tons of products worth $202 million were exported from Golestan Province customs.

With a population of 350,000, Gonbad-e Kavus County is located in the east of Golestan Province.
