The volume of exports from Russian Nizhny Novgorod to Uzbekistan increased by more than 84 percent and amounted to $85 million in 2018, reports Trend with reference to the Uzbek media.
The increase was due to the supply of non-energy products.
Deliveries of ground transportation from Nizhny Novgorod to Uzbekistan increased by $42.2 million including in 2018. In addition, exports of ferrous metal products increased eight-fold.
“Our region is developing not only trade and economic relations with Uzbekistan. At the first coordinating council for industrial development with the participation of Russian trade representatives from all countries of the world, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Gleb Nikitin gave instructions on Nizhny Novgorod region progressively expanding the export of educational services to Uzbekistan,” director of the department of external relations of the Nizhny Novgorod region government, Olga Guseva said.
The director also added that, 182 citizens of Uzbekistan are already undergoing training in the universities of the region in 2018-2019 school years.
