Iran imports 40 tons of meat from Kazakhstan

Iran Air’s Boeing 747 aircraft has brought 40 tons of meat from Kazakhstan, said Nader Sanagou Motlagh, head of Iran's Payam International Airport, Trend reports referring to ILNA.

According to Sanagou Motlagh, the plane flew from Kazakhstan's Shymkent airport to Payam International Airport in Iran.

Sanagou Motlagh added that meat imports will continue from other countries as well for the regulation of market prices.

He said that meat imports via Payam International Airport resumed after a 50-day delay.

The price of meat in Iran has sharply risen recently, with the price of 1 kg of meat reaching $23.8. Imports of meat to Iran increased for purposes of market regulation.
