Solar powered water heaters distributed in Iran's villages

Since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2018), 114 water heaters equipped with solar panels have been installed in Iran's villages, aiming to change the ways of energy consumption, Mohammad Hasan Kordestani, Director of the Natural and Water Resources Management of Iran's Kerman Province, said, Trend reports via IRNA.

Kordestani noted that the solar powered water heaters have been distributed in order to reduce tree felling.

He added the organization urges villagers to opt for renewable energy sources.

There is a forest covering 483,000 hectares of Kerman's south.

Kerman's south comprises of seven counties, namely Qaleh Ganj, Faryab, Rudbar-e Jonubi, Manujan, Kahnuj, Anabarabad, Jiroft, and is home for one million Iranians.
