A feed processing plant has been commissioned in the Alkhanli village of Azerbaijan’s Fizuli district, Trend reports April 18.
The plant was commissioned as part of the project “Socio-Economic Development Activity (SEDA)”, jointly implemented by the government of Azerbaijan and the US Agency for International Development.
Speaking at an event held in connection with the opening of the plant by the Agency for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) under the Ministry of Economy, Deputy Chairman of the Agency Nadir Adilov, Deputy Head of the Executive Power of the Fizuli district Suleyman Aliyev and representatives of the SEDA project noted the importance of implementing community projects in the districts, commissioning a feed processing plant in the development of SMEs in the agriculture sector, expansion of work in the livestock and crop production areas in the agriculture sector, meeting the needs in forage and increasing employment.
A production site and a warehouse have been built at the plant and the appropriate equipment has been installed. Along with residents of the Alkhanli village, residents of the nearby villages can also use the plant.
As part of the joint project, 25 feed processing plants in 14 districts were commissioned.
At the event, village residents expressed their gratitude to the Azerbaijani president for the conditions created.
As part of the above mentioned cooperation, on the same day, a first-aid post began to operate in the Godekgobu village of the Zardab district, and a kindergarten was commissioned in the Huseynkhanli village.
