Belarus pushed India out of the top five exporters of machinery and equipment to Uzbekistan in January-March 2019, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

In first three months of the year, the country exported machinery and equipment to Uzbekistan worth $84.3 million with a share of 3.8 percent.

China, which significantly increases its supply volumes, is the exporter No. 1 of machinery and equipment to Uzbekistan. In three months of the current year, China brought in products worth $689.6 million with a share of 30.7 percent.

During this period, South Korea supplied machinery and equipment worth $473.4 million (a proportion of 21.1 percent). Russia, the third key exporter of machinery and equipment, supplied machinery and equipment worth $185.2 million (a share of 8.3 percent), and Turkey exported machinery and equipment worth $148.9 million (a share of 6.6 percent).

According to State Statistics Committee’s report, in January-February 2019, India was among the top five exporters of machinery and equipment to Uzbekistan. During this time, it exported machinery and equipment worth $69.4 million with share of 4.9 percent and 13 percent increase over the corresponding period last.

In the first quarter of this year, Uzbekistan imported machinery and equipment including parts and accessories worth more than $2.2 billion. A significant share falls on non-CIS countries - about $2 billion, while machines and equipment from the CIS countries were imported only for $297 million.
