Foreign direct investments in Kazakhstan’s Almaty Region increase

Almaty Region’s manufacturing sector and agriculture sees the performance growth, by 3.7 percent and 2.2 percent respectively, Trend reports via kapital.kz.

Reportedly, the total amount of foreign direct investments increased by 2.9 percent reaching 86.1 billion tenge. Some 5144 new job opportunities were created.

"An important factor affecting the economic well-being of the region is entrepreneurship development. The government is working on reducing the administrative barriers, improving the business climate and supporting the entrepreneurship. To support regional entrepreneurship more than 47 infrastructure facilities are operating," said the message.

"Entrepreneur Support Centers operate in 16 districts of Tekeli city, Entrepreneur Services Centers are situated in Kapchagay and Taldıqorğan cities. In 2018 some 4286 entrepreneurs received 5074 services and consultations, 15994 business representatives received 19582 services and consultations on information management within the framework of governmental programs. Furthermore 873 consultations took place via mobile support service. Government program called Business roadmap – 2020 on business support and development continues to be realized," reads the message.

The members of delegation headed by Gulshara Abdykhalikova, Secretary of State of Kazakhstan spoke on the new social measures. Ministers also visited a number of districts to get acquainted with the current situation and to answer the questions of local residents.

“Since June 1 the salary of more than 100 employees of budgetary sphere with low salary are to receive wage increase by 30 percent. Some 3,500 employees of the executive bodies will receive a wage increase by 25 percent. Within the framework of new social policy Aleumettik Qamqorlyq a number of those receiving targeted social assistance will reach 17,000 families,” said the report.

"A number of results have been achieved in the agricultural sector: an output growth, the increase of labor productivity, main fund’s update, the accomplishment of self-sufficiency in major staple food products. By the end of 2019 more than 200 tons of meat are to be exported. The preparation of the agricultural equipment for the spring field works is undergoing. As at March 15 out of 33,600 available equipment some 31,000 machinery has been repaired (92.3 percent)," reads the message.
