The manufacturing cluster on the basis of Akhangarantsement with output volume of five million tons of cement as well as of other products is being created in Uzbekistan, Trend reports via Sputnik Uzbekistan.

The lower cost and the ability to create generic solutions for higher production rates, which can be observed in Uzbekistan, are among the important advantages of the cluster method.

“Total value of EUROCEMENT Group investments into the creation of the cluster amount $200 million and over $100 million were already invested,” reads the message.

“It is estimated that the cement plant in Okhangaron city will become the largest plant in Central Asia by performance of the equipment, as well as the modern venture with high level of manufacturing automation, low energy consumption and the minimal impact on the environment," said the mesage.

“The result of the cluster creation will be the launch of manufacturing complex with annual output volume of five million tons of cement, 144,000 cubic meters of ready-mix concrete, 30,000 cubic meters of concrete products and other products. The venture will significantly contribute to supplying Uzbekistan with construction materials,” Mikhail Skorokhod, the President of EUROCEMENT Group said.

“Furthermore, the products will be manufactured via energy-efficient dry method. The range of the manufactured products includes cement of high mark which will be used on the most important construction sites of Uzbekistan, i.e. road junctions, airfield surfaces, power plants, residential, office and shopping buildings.

The project is on the list of promising projects within the framework of Economic Cooperation Program between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Russian Federation for 2019-2024.

The realization of the program is being managed by the Intergovernmental committee on economic cooperation between republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation, the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, as well as by profile State committees and departments.
