Meeting with new Slovenian ambassador held in Turkmen MFA

On June 17, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia in Turkmenistan (with residence in Moscow) Branko Rakovec, who is starting his diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan, Trend reports referring to the Turkmen ministry.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Slovenian ambassador presented the copies of his credentials. Congratulating the ambassador with the appointment to this high post, the Turkmen side expressed readiness to provide assistance and support in the work of the ambassador on strengthening bilateral relations.

In his turn, Branko Rakovec expressed his gratitude to Turkmen side for the best wishes for him.

Noting the effective development of mutually beneficial cooperation, the sides discussed issues of the work implemented in the political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. The sides noted that the meetings held on a regular basis are one of the important mechanisms facilitating the advancement of the bilateral partnership.

Among the priority sectors of the partnership between Ashgabat and Ljubljana are trade, communications, telecommunications, transport, air traffic, freight shipping, agriculture and food industry.

The negotiations are also underway to launch direct flights between the countries and expand business contacts.
