Azerbaijan's Ganja Instrumentation Factory is planning to launch a new production line, the company's Deputy Director Yusif Pashazade told Trend.

The deputy director noted that the company plans to manufacture ball valves for domestic use.

"We plan to launch a new line for the production of ball valves by the end of this year. Primary production volumes are not expected to be large - approximately 50,000 units," he said.

Pashazade did not rule out that in the future the company may increase these volumes, including for export.

"Presently, the products of the factory are exported to Russia, Georgia and partially to Kazakhstan. These are the main sales markets and in the future we plan to expand supplies to other countries of the former Soviet Union," he added.

The deputy director further noted that the factory operates at almost full capacity, and all the departments of the enterprise are involved in production.

In total, the factory employs 160 people.

Ganja Instrumentation Factory produces water meters and gas pressure regulators. The plant is one of the biggest in the field of machine engineering and is engaged in the development and production of measuring instruments, automatic and automated control systems.

The factory's activities are aimed at developing and raising the level of instrument-making in Azerbaijan.
