The French company Coopex Montbeliarde, which is engaged in cattle breeding, offers export of live products to farms operating in the Azerbaijani districts, director of the Azerbaijani company Agromeat Namiq Alakbarov told Trend.
The director noted that a similar proposal from Coopex Montbeliarde was also received by Agromeat.
“The French company offers us the purchase of pedigree cows at the prices ranging from 1,500 to 2,000 euros,” he said. “In our opinion, the price is somewhat too high, but taking into account the requirements of the market and other nuances, we are ready to consider the offer. We have a small farm in Agjabadi district where we are engaged in cattle breeding and slaughter. We plan to expand the production by the end of the year.”
The director noted that the company also plans to expand the geography of meat exports.
“Last year we carried out a small amount of meat exports to Iraq and Dubai, and we plan to enter new markets,” he added. “The Arab direction is the most relevant in this regard.”
