Azerbaijan’s Baku Textile Factory is setting up new directions for exporting its products, Sakina Babayeva, director of the factory and head of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan, told Trend.
She said that the factory plans to export finished textiles.
“We plan to export corporate clothes to Germany,” she noted. “Samples of these products have already been sent to this country. After we receive a positive response from Germany, we plan to export there, among other things, women’s underwear and socks.”
She added that the factory has concluded several cooperation agreements with the German side.
“To date, we have documented deals and reached verbal agreements related to the export of factory products to Germany,” she said. “Supposedly, export deliveries are expected by the end of this year, or by early next year.”
The director added that in the future, the company also considers other areas of export supplies to this country.
Seven production lines are operating at the Baku Textile Factory and all function in continuous mode. In total, the enterprise employs 300 professional staff members.
The factory has been operating since 1939. It was the first one in the South Caucasus region in the field of textile industry.
The enterprise carries out its activities in accordance with European standards. It has the latest equipment and applies advanced technologies from Germany and Japan.
The factory’s production includes casual clothing, evening gown, children’s clothing, medical clothing, overalls, school uniforms, sportswear, all types of work clothing, promotional clothing and military uniforms.
