For January-May 2019 Georgia imported fruits in the amount of $29 million, Trend reports with reference to the bpn.ge.
Back in 2018, within the same time period, the country imported fruits worth over $31.2 million.
During January-May 2019, Georgia purchased the largest number of bananas worth over $9.9 million, nuts (worth over $8.3 million), citrus fruits (over $4.8 million), dried grapes (worth over $669,000).
The country also imported apples and pears worth over $1.3 million.
