Value of total assets of Azerbaijan’s Bank of Baku decreases

The value of total assets of Azerbaijan’s Bank of Baku OJSC in the second quarter of this year decreased by 2.8 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 291.237 million manats, Trend reports with reference to the financial report of the bank.

In the structure of the bank’s assets, cash amounted to 19.857 million manats, showing a growth of 78 percent. Balances on “nostro” accounts amounted to 21.333 million manats, showing a decrease by 92 percent.

The securities portfolio increased almost 8 times and amounted to 28.484 million manats. The loans issued to banks increased by almost 1.5 times and amounted to 16.066 million manats. The clients received loans worth 172.157 million manats (a decrease of 8 percent).

In the structure of liabilities, deposits amounted to 122.85 million manats, decreasing by 35 percent. Balances on “loro” accounts increased by 13 percent and amounted to 9,750 manats. Loans from banks and other financial institutions amounted to 38.102 million manats, increasing by a quarter. The volume of total liabilities decreased by 19 percent and amounted to 219.5 million manats.

Special capital amounted to 62.805 million manats, increasing 2.2 times. Capital reserves increased by 3 percent and amounted to 8.93 million manats. The total capital increased by 90 percent and amounted to 71.735 million manats.
