In June 2019, the profit of Georgian banks decreased by 29.9 million lari compared to May, by 29.9 million lari compared to June 2018, Trend reports with reference to the website of the National Bank of Georgia.
Overall profit for June 2019 amounted to 33.9 million lari.
At the same time, in June the income of the banking sector amounted to 345 million lari, expenses – 309.5 million lari.
The net profit of banks in June amounted to 47.933 million lari, and in May – to 201.984 million lari.
In addition, in June, commercial banks received revenues in the form of penalties in the amount of 5.7 million lari, and in the line of purchase and sale of currency - in the amount of 3.3 million lari. The net profit from conversion operations (currency purchase transactions) amounted to 3,315 million lari. In June, banks also received a commission in the amount of 26 million lari.
According to the National Bank of Georgia, in June, banks paid a profit of 1.213 million lari.
Last year, the net profit of commercial banks amounted to 917.72 million lari.
