Swiss companies to build new terminal in Uzbek airport

B&A Contractors S.A. and IT Engineering S.A., part of the Swiss Mabetex Group, will build a terminal for the Tashkent-Vostochny airport in Uzbekstan, Trend reports with reference to the press service of Uzbekistan Railways who concluded the contract.

The capacity of the Terminal-2 in the form of the mythical Humo bird will amount to 1,000 passengers per hour.

"The new terminal is equipped with modern engineering and technological equipment that meets international requirements, in particular, an automated cargo receiving system, a self-propelled registration device, special technical means of verification, a special terminal management system, a telescopic ladder, an aircraft parking system, information boards", read the message.

The new airport will be a three-story building. There will be two runways, hangars and platforms.

The facility is scheduled to be commissioned in the second half of 2021.
