The export of steel products by Iran increased by 20 percent during three months (March 21 - June 21) of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2019) compared to the same period of last Iranian year, Trend reports referring to the report of the Iranian Steel Producers Association.
According to the report, 758,000 tons were exported by Iran during three months compared to 633,000 tons in the same period of last Iranian year.
Moreover, 1.42 million tons of steel bullion were exported during three months, which is 23 percent less (1.85 million tons) compared to the same period of last Iranian year.
Some 95,000 tons of steel products and 1,000 tons of steel bullion were imported during three months. This figure decreased by 68 percent and 83 percent respectively compared to the same period of last Iranian year (293,000 tons of steel products and 6,000 tons of steel bullion).
According to the report, Iran produced 5.27 million tons of steel products during three months compared to 4.55 million tons in the same period of last Iranian year.
Some 7.27 million tons of iron ore were produced, which is 10 percent more (6.58 million tons) compared to the same period of last Iranian year.
