Petroleum products manufacturing goes up in Kazakhstan

The volume of industrial manufacturing in Kazakhstan has increased by 2.6 percent during January-June 2019 compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the Committee of Statistics of Kazakhstan.

Furthermore, the volume of cargo transport, excluding the pipeline transport, increased by 3.8 percent. The retail trade turnover increased by 5.4 percent, the consumer prices increased by 2.6 percent and the prices of industrial manufacturers increased by four percent (the highest indicator among CIS countries).

The committee further noted that during January-July 2019 the extraction of metal ores increased, as well as manufacturing of food product, beverages, pharmaceuticals and vehicles.

Thus, the production of oil, including gas condensate amounted to 52.2 million tons during the reporting period, which is 1.3 percent less than during the same period of last year.

The manufacturing of copper ores amounted to 68.8 million tons (+14.8 percent), of petrol to 2.3 million tons (+9.9 percent), of gasoil to 2.9 million tons (+8.7 percent), of Portland cement to 5.8 percent (decrease of 0.4 percent).

In turn, the manufacturing of refined copper amounted to 0.3 million tons, which is 13.4 percent more than during the same period of last year, whereas the production of electricity equaled 61.3 billion kWh, which is 3.4 percent less than during the same period of 2018.
