Uzbekistan increases gold exports 2.2 times

In January-July 2019, Uzbekistan increased gold exports 2.2 times compared to the same period in 2018, Trend reports citing State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
During this period, Uzbekistan exported $ 3.4 billion worth of gold. The share of gold in the export structure amounted to 31.8 percent.
Uzbekistan has increased gold exports in recent years. Gold exports in 2015 exceeded $823.9 million, in 2016 - to $738.2 million, in 2017 - to $1.6 billion and in 2018 - to $2.91 billion.
Earlier Trend reported with reference to the Central Bank that the gross foreign exchange reserves of Uzbekistan on August 1 amounted to $27.7 billion, which is 14 million less than in the first half of this year.
