The main supplier of coal to Uzbekistan is Kyrgyzstan, said the head of the Uzbek State Commodity Exchange (UZEX) Zhahongir Mutalibov, Trend reports with reference to the Kyrgyz VB publishing house.
According to him, Kyrgyzstan supplies up to 80 percent of imported coal to Uzbekistan.
“Kyrgyz producers supply cement, asbestos, ferrous metal and other goods. There is good trade between our countries,” Mutalibov said.
He noted that Kyrgyz coal is of good quality and is not inferior to analogues from Kazakhstan.
Cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan is mainly through the commodity exchange. The object of bidding here are goods and services. Public procurement is carried out through this platform.
