Baku, Azerbaijan, Sept. 6

By Matanat Nasibova – Trend:

Baku-based Karmen macaroni factory produces 70 tons of macaroni per day, Ilgar Ahmadov, director of the company's marketing department, told Trend.

“Presently, the maximum capacity of the factory is 80 tons of macaroni,” he said.

“We could produce 80 tons of macaroni per day if all of the factory's products were fully sold weekly or daily,” Ahmadov added. “But we periodically interrupt production to sell the remaining volumes of products that are kept in warehouses. The production process resumes every time after no products are left in the warehouses."

He stressed that the factory also has a separate line for the production of Bucatini spaghetti.

“The daily production volumes of these products are 20 tons,” Ahmadov said. “Nevertheless, the factory’s capacity allows producing 24 tons of Bucatini spaghetti. In general, as of the year, the factory’s production volume is approximately 30,000 tons.”

“Presently, the factory produces 13 varieties of macaroni,” he said. “The technologies used in the production meet the quality standards, so there is no need to purchase new equipment abroad.”

The German-made Dufler equipment for macaroni production, as well as Italian-made Fava equipment for Bucatini spaghetti production are used in the factory.

The products have a certificate of conformity issued by the Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents.

The German, Turkish and Italian equipment is used at the factory.
