Some 950 tons of olives are planned to be harvested from Iran’s Isfahan province this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2019), Ahmadreza Raiszade, director of the department of the agricultural organization of Isfahan province, said.
The volume of the harvested olives is expected to increase by 15 percent, Raiszade added, Trend reports referring to ISNA.
He said that olives are being harvested from a 917,000-hectare-area in the province.
Raiszade added that there are two olive processing plants, which produce and sell canned olives and olive oil.
He said that olives are being mainly harvested in Isfahan, Kashan, Najafabad, Ardestan, Khur va Biyabanak and Falavarjan counties.
