In January-August 2019, Azerbaijan imported products totaling $9.382 billion, which is 36.7 percent more than in the same period of 2018, Trend reports referring to the country's State Customs Committee.
The share of the public sector in the imports amounted to $3.512 billion dollars, the private sector - $5.270 billion, individuals - $599.5 million.
The most popular goods imported by Azerbaijan during the reported period were various machines and mechanisms, vehicles and spare parts for them, ferrous metals and products made from them, plastics and plastic products, and pharmaceuticals.
