The fee for every foreign plane flying over Iran’s airspace is approximately $1,500-$2,000, CEO of Iran Airports & Air Navigation Company Siavash Amir-Makri said, Trend reports citing the Fars News Agency.
He said that the Cabinet of Ministers of Iran has made a decision regarding the payment of these fees.
He added that the fee to be paid in the US dollars will depend on the distance traveled by a plane and its weight.
“The fee for foreign planes flying over Iran’s airspace is 2-3 times higher than that of the neighboring countries, whereas other countries set stable amount of fees and make their airspace attractive for flights,” he said.
