Uzbekistan’s Metallurgical Combine (Uzmetkombinat) plans to expand the geography of exports by supplying copper and its alloy products to Azerbaijan, as stated by the head of the marketing department of Uzmetkombinat Erkin Ibragimov, Trend reports citing the company's press service.

From January to August 2019, the Uzbek Metallurgical Combine increased exports to 275,600 tons, which is 12.2 percent more than in the same period last year.

The lion's share of all exports is ferrous metal. The rest is enameled dishes.

Today, products are exported to eight countries. Afghanistan and Kazakhstan buy metal, Kyrgyzstan and Russia - products from copper and its alloys, Tajikistan - enameled dishes, metal and heat-insulating materials, Belarus - rolled from copper and its alloys, Ukraine – metal, and Turkmenistan - construction nails.

Ibragimov added that by the end of the year, the plant intends to export 350,000 tons of products. Moreover, actual export may be even greater, as the demand for domestic products, especially in the CIS countries, is growing, and the conditions for transportation and logistics are improving.
