Kazakhstan is interested in using cement goods manufactured in Russia’s Saratov Oblast in road construction, Head of Kazakhstan’s West Kazakhstan region Ghali Jesqalijew said, Trend reports with reference to Russian media.
He made the statement during 2nd Saratov Economic Forum, which was held on October 10.
According to Jesqalijew, regional akimat is interested in relations with such a strong region as the Saratov Oblast. He in particular noted relations in area of transit transport traffic, increase of which will allow to develop regional economies.
“We are also interested in cement manufacturing for road construction in West Kazakhstan, manufacturing of gas equipment and energy meters. There is a lot of potential,” he said.
He further noted that the economic interest will only strengthen cooperation between regions.
“We have rich joint history and, I think, a very rich joint future,” Jesqalijew concluded.
Value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Russia amounted to $10.567 billion from January to July 2019, which is 1.4 percent less than during the same period of last year.
