Russia’s Stavropol Krai region eyes to supply agricultural products to Azerbaijan

Businessmen from Russia’s Stavropol Krai region are considering expanding supplies of agricultural products to Azerbaijan, Trend reports Oct. 18.

This includes supply of various types of agricultural products, as well as mineral fertilizers.

Such an opportunity was discussed as part of negotiations between businessmen of Stavropol Krai and Azerbaijani entrepreneurs during a business mission to Azerbaijan through the Export Support Center, operating on the basis of the regional business support foundation of Stavropol Krai.

Members of the delegation visited a number of facilities where they held talks with Azerbaijani colleagues. The main purpose of the dialogue was to promote Russian products for export and attract investments to Stavropol Krai.

Furthermore, Azerbaijani businessmen and their counterparts from Stavropol Krai participated in a round table discussion dedicated to the development of economic relations of the Russian region and Azerbaijan. During the meeting, the sides considered the possibility of expanding cooperation between Stavropol Krai and Azerbaijan in the field of agriculture.

Azerbaijani businessmen noted that they have long considered Stavropol Krai as a platform for investments, especially in the tourism industry of the region.

The parties agreed to organize permanent exchange of business missions between Stavropol Krai and Azerbaijan in order to expand direct interaction between the business community of the region and Azerbaijan.

At the meeting, proposals were discussed to expand the tourist flow to the region and to implement joint investment projects.
