Turkmenistan, Japan to sign documents after summit talks

A working visit by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Japan is scheduled for October 21-23, Trend reports referring to the Turkmen government.

During the visit, a number of documents are to be signed.

Turkmenistan attaches great importance to cooperation with Japan in the context of the foreign policy vector to strengthen partnership with the Asia-Pacific region.

An important role in the development of Turkmen-Japanese relations is given to contacts at the highest level.

Berdimuhamedov said that Turkmenistan and Japan are ready to increase productive cooperation in a wide range of areas.

Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe's official visit to Turkmenistan in October, 2015 gave impetus to business ties with Japan, during which agreements were concluded on a number of investment projects worth $ 18 billion.
