Trend:

Belavia Belarusian Airlines plans to switch to daily flights on the Minsk-Baku route, Trend reports citing Belarusian media.

This will allow passengers to choose any length of stay without being tied to specific dates.

Furthermore, the Belarusian flag carrier plans to change its tariff policy by the end of November 2019, which will lead to a decrease in the cost of tickets.

Currently, the cost of a one-way ticket for the Minsk-Baku flight with all taxes and fees included is about 115 euros, while the round trip price reaches 262 euros. In the near future, it is planned to change the tariff policy, which will entail a reduction in ticket costs. The price of a one-way ticket should be about 100 euros and the round trip tickets with all taxes and fees should amount to a little less than 200 euros.

Presently, Minsk-Baku-Minsk flight is carried out five times a week and is in high demand. In 2018 alone, more than 20,000 passengers were transported on this route, and this year, Belavia became the operator-carrier in this direction, although the flight is still operated with a code-share with Azerbaijan Airlines.

Belavia, with headquarters in Minsk, was established in 1996. The company has 17 representative offices in various countries and it is a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
