Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan agree on plan for demarcation of state borders for 2020

A regular meeting of the working groups of the Joint Uzbek-Turkmen Intergovernmental Commission on Delimitation and Demarcation of the State Border between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan was held in Karshi, Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing Uzbekistan’s Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, the results of the work carried out by the working groups of the two countries in 2019 were summed up, and the Schedule of meetings for 2020 was agreed.

In addition, the event participants prepared a package of documents for approval during the upcoming meeting of the Joint Uzbek-Turkmen Intergovernmental Commission on Border Issues.

Following the talks, the heads of delegations - First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of Uzbekistan on Land Resources, Geodesy, Cartography and State Cadaster Tulkin Abdullayev and Head of the Enterprise No. 5 of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan Mammad Mammadov - signed a corresponding Protocol.
